Mrs. Boswell grew up in the small town of Black Creek in Eastern North Carolina. After graduating from high school she attended UNC as a journalism major before coming to her senses and transferring to NCSU. There, Mrs. Boswell received a BA in English and took part in the Cooperating Raleigh College program. She was licensed to teach at Meredith College.
Upon college graduation, Mrs. Boswell taught fifth grade and first grade at Vandora Springs Elem. in Garner, NC. After taking two years off to stay home with her children, Mrs. Boswell returned to teaching part time at Hunter GT Magnet Elem. There she taught both enrichment and remediation classes, eventually becoming a full time teacher assistant.
Mrs. Boswell came to Root originally as a teacher assistant in Ms. Cannon's classroom. She only spent one semester there when a kindergarten position came open. There she found where she was supposed to be all along!
Mrs. Boswell is married to Billy who is a computer software engineer. She has three children: Emma who is 14 and attends Garner Magnet High School, William who is 13 and attends Carnage AG Middle School, and Olivia who is 10 and attends Hunter GT Magnet. She enjoys attending Mount Moriah Baptist church, camping with friends, reading books, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Culley was born on the island of Trinidad, and yes, she is truly an island girl at heart! She lived there until she was 8 years old then she and her family moved to New York. She lived in New York for about 8 years. She moved to North Carolina at the age of 16 with her parents and has been here since.

She has two children, Haley who is 14 and attends Knightdale High School and Christian, who is 4 and currently attends preschool but will be a member of the Root Family in August. She enjoys reading a good Sci-Fi book, traveling, cooking, but most importantly, spending time with her family.
